HERE. THEY. ARE. Our Paris engagement pictures. Saying that I am in love with them is such an understatement.
Our Engagement Shoot Vibe
Even before we got engaged, Damon and I were both in agreement that we would most likely want a semi-formal or black tie wedding, so I knew our engagement photos would have to match that tone. We knew from the very start that our wedding colors would be black, white and champagne. When we decided to take photos, I knew that we would want to be able to use them for Save the Dates and for various wedding items, so that largely gave us a direction with the overall look and feel.
And it’s so crazy that we were able to capture our engagement in the city of love while continuing to play into the look and feel of our wedding. When we look back on all of our photos I knew that I wanted them to all match the color scheme, so we picked outfits and locations accordingly. We shot first at the Trocadero so that we could have this amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. We started promptly at 8am so that we could catch the sunrise with the Eiffel Tower.
After we wrapped up here, we stopped by a local cafe to order a cafe latte to keep us warm, and so that we could use the bathroom to change into our second fit for our next location. We of course had to get in a few photos while we were there.
We soon took a cab for the Louvre, as I sent our photographer some inspiration photos from one of the building corridors. We decided that we wanted to play off our of champagne color palette for these photos. And WOW, they turned out even better than I thought!
About the Photographer
We shot with The Paris Photographer, and I am SO happy that we decided to trust them with this experience. We specifically shot with Pierre, and he was an absolute dream come true.
If any of you all are going to Paris and want to take some really cute photos, I would definitely recommend. Pictures were easy, the photographers were professional and a complete delight.
